Structure of the Program
The language of teaching - Georgian
The program consists of the following three (one basic and two almost independent selective) modules:
A.- Basic module. This module constitutes learning fundamentals in Information systems in I-II semesters.
B.- Information systems (Head of the module: Assoc. Professor Teimuraz Manjaparashvili). This module is oriented on the requirements of labor market in the information systems direction. It is studied in III semester.
C.- Intellectual systems (Head of the module: Professor Gia Sirbiladze). This module is oriented on scientific investigations in modern intellectual systems, although it refers to module B with optional course. The module is studied in the III semester.
The compulsory courses comprise 45 credits, including 30 credits of specialization compulsory courses and 15 credits of optional courses. 10 credits from optional courses can be chosen from Master’s Program “Information technologies” and “Computer science”.
The aim of the Master Program
The master’s program in Information systems prepares students for running computer based information systems for automated functioning of large organizations and cyber corporations (expert systems, decision making advisory systems, informational intellectual systems, management information systems, financial systems, etc.). The program graduates will be able to project and design information systems; a certain knowledge and experience of software engineering are presumed.
From the technological point of view, the master of Information systems will know applications of information systems and packages in traditional or emerging business of our country, which are so needed for normal functioning of large organizations.
In the direction of Information systems masters will learn how to evaluate the specific information requirements of large organizations and implement practical ways for resolving these requirements.

The graduates of the program are supposed to hold command positions in Information systems direction. The graduates will have the following general knowledge, abilities and values:
