Program Educational Objectives

On the basis of analysis of prosperous Universities' analogical programs and taking into account the demands of labor market, to provide students with high-quality and competitive knowledge; permanent care that the presented program is corresponding to basic recommendations of de-facto standard - ACM educational curricula and periodical changes made to the ACM computer science curriculum

The language of teaching - Georgian / English

The educational objectives of the Computer Science undergraduate program are to produce alumni who will:

1. Be productive, responsible computing science professionals conducting research and/or designing, developing, or maintaining projects in the various areas of Computer Science;

2. Understand and apply ethical issues and social aspects of computing science in performing their duties as computer science professionals,

3. Continue the learning of new technologies in the computer science area through self-directed professional development or post graduate education.

Student Outcomes

Department of Computer Sciences adopted ABET Student outcomes:

1. Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.

2. Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline.

3. Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.

4. Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.

5. Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.

6. Apply computer science theory and software development fundamentals to produce computing-based solutions.
